45cm tall, 700ml, a cognac bottle with lovely hips and shapes, a simple design for efficiency.
There’s a rounded place for the cognac brand sticker to the front, the famous “Hennessy armed arm” in gold over black, and a single baseline “Maison fondé” with the 1765 year. It’s based on Richard’s Hennessy family coat of arms.
Then, the main label starts with armorial bearings and the brand Hennessy in the unique font NR2653 from NR2154 studio. The rest is quite usual: the Very Special cognac named in caps, the founder name, and what cognac is all about a unique area in France where the “eau-de-vie” is crafted, distilled, and bottled.
To complete the design, a golden vine frieze surrounds the whole with grapes and leaves.

Tasting Hennessy VS cognac

It’s a VS cognac blend, so it has aged at least 2 years in casks of French Limousin oak, some up to 5.
40 different “eaux-de-vie” are used in this blend and a mix from all cognac areas: Bois Ordinaires, Borderies, Bons Bois, Fins Bois, Petite Champagne, and Grande Champagne.
Cognac is made from the selection of the finest Ugni Blanc (Trebbiano) grapes, fermented and distilled twice in copper pot stills.
Moreover, the master blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde and his expert committee also choose older casks to impart depth and balance. It’s always about cognac quality and tasting.
